How to Make Meditation Music

Here is a quick guide on how to make meditation music with our meditation music maker:

• Add a sound to the current track by clicking the + sign inside a sound card.
• Selected sounds for the track are shown in the section "Current Track"
• Adjust the sound volume with the volume slider on the sound card or the sound card shown under "Current Track".
• Make sure to have at least two sounds in your track/soundscape.
• Set the length and your email address under "Export Mix(MP3) to export your track on our server. You'll be notified via email once the export is ready to download.
• Or use the local export feature under "Export locally(WAV)" that creates your track directly in your browser as a WAV file. On modern Chrome browsers on desktops, it will ask you where to save the file. For all other browsers or devices, it will download the file to your download folder when finished.

Local vs. Remote Export

Remote export creates your mix on our server as an MP3. You can leave the page while it runs, and we'll notify you by email when it is ready to download.

Local export creates a WAV file directly in your browser on your device. That means your own computer, phone, or tablet has to do the work. How long the export can be, and how long it takes, depends on how powerful your device is, how much free memory it has, and how much memory your browser is allowed to use. While the export is running, the app or browser may look frozen. This is normal: some browsers cannot update the screen while they are creating the audio file.

For local exports, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer instead of a mobile device, especially for longer tracks. Phones and tablets usually have stricter memory, storage, and processing limits, so long local exports are more likely to fail there.

If a local export fails with an error, no export allowance or export credit is used. The export is only counted after the local file is created successfully.

Export Limits and Export Credits Explained

Both are used for creating and downloading exports — but they work a little differently.

Export Limits (Allowances) come with your Creator subscription. Your monthly export allowance rolls over as long as your subscription stays active. However, if you cancel, any remaining exports will expire at the end of your current billing period.

Export Credits, on the other hand, are permanent until used. They stay in your account until you spend them — or until the end of the product’s lifetime (or ZENmix itself, but our vision is to stay for decades 🙂).
