When some parts sound off as you get stuck or sound forced or unnatural, you have two options. Practice until you get it flowing right Change the script to fit your flow Test both and discover the approach that suits you best. Take It Slow If you tend to speak quickly, make a conscious effort to slow down for clear understanding. Keep in mind that your audience needs time not just to hear but also to absorb your words. A brief pause may seem long to you, but it gives your listeners a chance to fully grasp your message. Mastering the use of “silence” is a skill of many exceptional public speakers. Consider Re-recording Instead of Editing Re-recording might be more convenient and faster than editing. It doesn’t cost anything and could save you editing time. Break Up Longer Recordings For lengthier recordings, divide them into manageable segments. When creating a 45-60 minute video, record in smaller, like 2-4 minute sections for easier editing and management. Leave Extra Blank Time Add some additional blank time at the start and end of your recording to facilitate easier editing. Back to course overview Previous lesson Next lesson
